Cannabis seeds by DNA GeneticsThese were some seeds DNA grew back in 2009 or 2010 that i photographed at their shop in Amsterdam. Around a 100 seeds in the photo, you can really see the beauty in the seed up close, incredible tiger stripes thru out, and ready to crack.
Hash Plant aka Champagne SeedlingThis was a close to 20 year old seed that i had saved and cracked recently. The texture on this shot is incredible showing the hull slowly cracking open with clear site of the embryo inside. The root about to make its appearance in full magnification
Jamaican Lambs BreadBack in 1995 i was married while visiting Jamaica. A friend i had met there from Oregon had brought me some of the best tasting cannabis i had smoked, and not only that i was also blown away by the fact that the resin from the joint would make my mouth go numb. I was destined to keep the few seeds i found, and around 20 years later, i cracked 1 out of 11 that survived. It was a female thanksfully . Also notice the smoothness of the tap roop coming out of the hull compared to the hash plant which had more a rigid surface
Hash Plant aka Champagne seedlingHere you can see the tap root making its way out of the seed husk. The rigid contours in the tap root are very different from the Jamaican Lambs Bread seedling
Seed coat The seed coat develops from the maternal tissue, the integuments, originally surrounding the ovule. The seed coat in the mature seed can be a paper-thin layer (e.g. peanut) or something more substantial (e.g. thick and hard in honey locust and coconut), or fleshy as in the sarcotesta of pomegranate. The seed coat helps protect the embryo from mechanical injury, predators and drying out. Depending on its development, the seed coat is either bitegmic or unitegmic. Bitegmic seeds form a testa from the outer integument and a tegmen from the inner integument while unitegmic seeds have only one integument. Usually parts of the testa or tegmen form a hard protective mechanical layer. The mechanical layer may prevent water penetration and germination. Amongst the barriers may be the presence of lignified sclereids.[11]
The RootsThe mycelium like membranes of the roots growing from this freshly rooted cannabis clone.
EpictotylHere shown is the first true set of leaves on a cannabis seedling. second only to the Cotyldon, these two true leaves ( ceraded) come out already covered in bulbous glandular trichomes.
Astroboy MacroFrom my own crop in 2015 this Astroboy Resin went from Cloudy to a bluish hue, and produce an incredible terpene profile. As you can see here present are mostly Capitate Stalked trichomes as well as Sessile stalked Trichomes.
Resin covered LeafHere we show a cannabis leaf towards the end of its lifecycle, fall like colours and anthocyanin flowing thru out the leaf's tips and centre. Bulbous heads cluster towards the centre of the leaves, while Capitate and Sessile stalked surround the outer edges
Post Washed CannabisThis cannabis was washed using Bubblebags. As you can see water extraction is extremly effective when accessing and isolating the two types of glandular trichomes we are in search of< Capitate Stalked and Sessile Stalked. Clearly leaving the stalks behind along with all other plant matter.
Cuban SiftSome Dry sift from Cuban Grower, showing a lovely Purity , this is what the Bubblebags, as well as the dry sifting technique's i have been teaching for the past several decades. Isolating to pure gland head ratio will unveil your quality thru PURITY .
SkunkMan Sam SiftThe first Dry sift ever photographed that showed that possibility of 99.9% gland head ratio. It opened our minds to the possibilty and from there we took the first step. Almost a decade and a half later, you can see the influence thru out the community of pure unadulterated isolated gland heads
SkunkMan Dry Sifthere you can see a variety of mature gland heads. from amber to cloudy as well as a host of other yellows oranges, and ambers. This sift was properly cured and dried before processing was ever attempted.
Just the headsAs the title suggested, Just the heads. Seperated and isolated into 100% pure gland heads
Dry Sifted HeadsHere we show a very near pure gland head product. Sifted by myself using carding and dvd static .
Dry Sift PressedHere we have some Dry sift pressed into a Dab. You can see towards the edge of the press where the Terpenes have literally leached out. Leaving a clear cannabinoid profile .
AstroBoy Bubblehash By TGAThis is some Astroboy Aka Watermelon Pheno grown by myself and processed by myself. Star rating was a solid 5. Very little residual.
Medical Seeds BubblehashSome Beautiful Amber coloured Sun grown Spanish Resin heads. Thanks to our good friend in Barcelona Javier from Medical seeds. we were lucky enough to enjoy this quality/purity combo as well as photograph it to share with you
Rosin Hash OilSome of the first Rosin i made, this came out incredible and produced a quality of photos i had yet to see with Resin. Having avoided chemical solvent extractions for all these years. Seeing a process come out that used nothing more than heat and pressure, brought a smile to my face. This particular Rosin was made with Bubblehash , not Flowers. THus the term Rosin Hash Oil
BubblebagsThe Flagship Kit, our 8 bag, Original 5 gallon kit. Warrantied for life, and probably responsible for more cannabis Cup Hash wins that we could count. Helping people more importantly produce a pharma level purity product for their own medicinal and responsible adult use. Almost 20 years in business, and we have never wavered in our customer service, quality and education.
Mark III 5D with Canon MPE 65mm LensSo many people ask me what kind of camera and lens set up i use for my photography so here is a photo if my baby. Canon 5D mark III with Canon MPE 65mm Lens and Canon Dual Flash Mt24EX.
Stigma HairA single stigma hair can produces hundreds of tiny little arms that anxiously await a single pollen.. that will be absorbed inside, and sucked down to the base where a single embryo will be produced in the form of a seed
190µ BubblehashSo here we have our first bag below the work bag i.e. the 220. This is what we call the contamination trap bag, i.e. the 190µ, Now i have seen incredible resin come out of this bag, but its rare. Most assume its going to be of lower quality however i am more constantly looking to be surprised so i use the 190µ so separate from my 160µ which will be the next bag.
160µhere we have a pretty standard 160µ, as you can see from comparing to the 190µ above that the quality or at least lets say the PURITY is much higher here. This product will actually squish a lovely Rosin or produce a nice quality edible. Many people who don't use these two bags will never see these subtle differences that speak volumes to the end produce they end up making.
120µNow i need everyone to keep in mind these are what we call Raw pulls. They have not been cleaned in anyway ( spray nozzle bottle with clean cold water can often clean a lot of the little bits of contaminant that you can see. ) The 120µ is CLEARLY of higher purity than the other two by great distances. The 120µ is generally one of the first grades i will consider using for myself which i vaporizer thru dabbing. Products prior to this make for great edibles.
90µOne of my personal favorites and the last bag to be added to the Bubblebag kit. Which was established in 1999, and this bag didn't come till around 2004. Generally if your growing indoor, in North America, or Europe, your going to see a very generous return here, as well as where you see some of your highest quality. 90µ commands a high dollar in the open market, and is a favorite of many
73µThis was always considered the money bag, as the quality showed up here first and almost always it was going to be the favourite bag of any recreational or med user. The Micron size was chosen due to my birthdate, a little bubble man trivia that only the few know. Also known as the gold bag, and when no 90µ bag is used, known as the TRUE 73µ
45µSO here we have a macro of the 45µ, often littered with the cloudy heads, and always very terpene rich. Often igniting and staying lit when smoked in a bowl with a match or a lighter. This gland head is often confused with immature or damaged glands, but a very unique terpenes profile is often associated with this size gland. Generally considered one of the highest grades in tropical countries like Austrlia where the smaller heads produced in purity is where the highest quality is often found.
25µAs seen here the purity of the heads is lowered generally by the time you get down to the 25µ. That being said a cannabinoid and terpene profile is still distinct here and can be used as powerful edibles either thru a Plant fat extraction or a Rosin Squish. I have smoked/Vaporized some incredible quality 25µ bubble hash's that were otherwise to harsh to dab, or left to much material behind, hit like a dream once squished into oil.
Male FlowersHere we have a blue berry Male that is clearly glandular in its nature. Ie its producing glandular trichomes , cannabinoids and terpene profiles. A very strong move on any breeders part is to recognize the improtance of a glandular male .
Male Flowers Glandular trichomes cover the stalk of this Glandular Male Flower. Grown by the infamous Dr Atomic here in Beautiful British Columbia. Blueberry from DJ short is the Male
Intense Male FloweringYou can see here that the flowering of a male pollen sac is intense. Covering most of the leaf, you can see those tiny gland like bulbs are actually Male Pollin.
Open Pollin SacHere a Male flower has emptied its polling sacs, but you can see clear little gland heads trapped on the outside. I have seen this anomaly time and time again, but am not 100% convinced these are perfectly removed gland heads. Perhaps something else...
